The continued support of utility sponsors is invaluable to the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project.  By offering an economic stimulus on ductless heat pump installations, utilities across the region are motivating their customers to participate in the project.  The Bonneville Power Administration has agreed to sponsor the installation of ductless heat pumps in 1,500 homes across the region by October 2009.  Parallel efforts by other regional utilities will supplement the BPA’s commitment by installing an additional 1,000 units by December 2009.  In order to accomplish this goal and support future ductless heat pump initiatives, the project is building an effective industry infrastructure that engages utilities, manufacturers, distributors, and contractors in a cooperative relationship.
